Calvert County Board of Education and Calvert County Board of Commissioners will Hold a Joint Meeting in July

The Calvert County Board of Education and Calvert County Board of County Commissioners will hold a joint meeting at 6 p.m. on July 31, 2023, to discuss the scope of a potential performance audit of the School System.

“Performance audit” means an assessment of an entity's or program's practices to determine whether the entity or program is operating economically and efficiently and whether corrective actions for improving its performance are appropriate. Md. Ann. Code, Educ. Art., §5-110(a). The purpose of this joint meeting is to determine if there is agreement with the Calvert County Boards of County Commissioners and Education as to the scope of such an audit, and payment of a vendor to perform that audit.

The meeting will be held at the Harriet Elizabeth Brown Community Center, 901 Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland. The public may observe the meeting livestreamed or in-person.
